Vancouver Island holds a special place in our hearts. Not only because we have family living on the island but also because of the spectacular beauty and relaxed lifestyle of west coast living.
We are once again back on the island, settled in to our base camp in Nanaimo for the next number of weeks. Our intention is to combine working via the internet with leisure time taking day trips within a few hours range of our base camp in Nanaimo.
First stop on our list was a visit to one of our favourite ocean side parks in Nanaimo – Neck Point Park – for an early evening stroll. This environmentally sensitive park encompassing 36 acres is simply stunning. Judging by the people out for a walk after dinner, it is well loved by Nanaimo’s residents and their dogs, and also by visitors such as ourselves.
