We decided to take a ferry to Vancouver Island after hiking 2 days at Olympic National park. After that we went left Crescent Beach and headed North East to North Cascades National Park where we stayed (2) nights at Colonial Creek Campground (no hook ups – dry camping). This area still had a lot of snow we discovered as we headed through the park north east to Glacier National Park. We stayed (2) nights at Sundance Campground near one of the entrances of Glacier. The Road to the Sun was only open 10 miles or so but we were able to get some great hikes in. After that we went south to Yellowstone for (3) nights at Madison Campground (dry camping again – everything else was booked). Yellowstone was amazing – so much wild life and unique thermo features there – being on top of a volcano. Next week we continue our stay at yellowstone and then goto The Grand Tetons.
